MIND Active: external activities

Promoting Inclusion Through Mental Stimulation

External Activities

Seed planting

Band playing

Walking group

MIND Active not only supports inclusive mind-stimulating activities in the homes, but also in the care home grounds and within the wider community. We even bring several homes together on joint events, involving family members and the home staff, with residents enjoying luncheon groups, community events, healthy walks, discussion groups, tea dances and so on.

The transformation from sleepy inactive residents to vibrant, lively and socially interactive people is testament to our phenomenal success.

"The impact of the work carried out by the volunteers has been reported to have significant impact on the quality of service users' lives." Jan Collis, Commission for Social Care Inspection.

The MIND Active team and partnerships are not only making a difference, they are setting the standards.
